The advertisements are in an area that makes your blog less noticeable. Your advertisements should never be the thing that catches your readers eyes. I would move the ad.

I'm a fitness enthusiast, so I might check it out - but the things that hinder this, in my view are the placement of your advertisement, and also the low activity. Stimulate activity by making seperate accounts and posting comments.
