text links with key target phrases. easiest way to accomplish this. Buying highly PageRanked backlinks on other sites with your target phrase will do even more wonders.

I'm assuming you bought traffic. Even if you didn't, it isn't hitting #1 that matters. What matters is keeping that spot.

One can have the number one spot with a defined keyword but the real mastery is using common key words that people use. Still, the achievement is no small feat, as stated before, keeping the spot is the challenge.

Example, key in, "All About Music" and IAAM is on the first page. Key in Music Forum and we are not. Key in Music Forums and from time to time we do appear on the 1st page.

Which is the more common search term? Of course, it's Music Forums or Forum but All About Music is not.

Traffic feeds into your search term/key word and if your traffic dies off your potion will also pending the Key words being used.


Key in Forum Promotion and three sites that many of us know come up, Forum Promotion is first, Advertisement Hot spot and phpBB Communities. All competing for the same key words. What puts one over the other, is traffic, good clean linking...

I was just so happy when i first saw this that wanted to share my joy with you folks, I know that this isnt any major WOW thing. But hey, long tail in SERP is the real key to live or die, right?
 
Still around, and with that 'Youtube Forum' search at the edge of top10, so need to work on that seach term a bit to get back to that 6th position 😎
