Do you know anyone who hoards things? Is it their house that's a complete mess?

I was talking yesterday to a couple of people about hoarders. We all knew someone who couldn't throw things away and there were paths in the house to get through.

My former neighbors were hoarders. It's a real problem when they start throwing their junk on your side of the property. I ended up calling the city nuisance officer and reporting them over it.

I seen many peoples homes like that, then again my home is a mess down stairs at the moment hahaha

My uncle is a hoarder. I feel bad for him, his house is all dilapidated and caving in on him too.

I used to hoard stuff, but I stopped.
When I did hoard stuff, I always kept it neat and in an area so it wouldn't be in the way.

I don't understand people like this. Why would anyone want to live in such filthy conditions?

I have a habit of hoarding... Websites.... Domains... Graphics.... Licenses... Software... Subscriptions that I don't need. 😛

lol at least they don't turn your house into a sewer. 😆

I tend to keep things for longer than I should when I no longer need them, but that's probably the extent of it. I guess you could argue that I hoard pens and other stationary items and notebooks, but they'll all get used eventually lol.

I'm a compulsive minimalist, I can't stand clutter. I've also never been sentimental about possessions. If it hasn't got a use or it hasn't been used for a while it gets recycled in some form or another.

I do know a couple of people who have rooms that literally can't be entered because they have stuff piled so high it reaches the ceiling. What's the point? Even if there was that one time you wanted something it's probably at the bottom of the pile and you'd kill yourself before finding it.

I'm the same way. If it's taking up space and it looks like clutter, I'd rather pitch it in the trash or give it away.

I am aware of a couple who seem to have a large collection of alcoholic beverages, particularly wines. I am unaware of the exact reason for their tendency to hoard, as I have never felt comfortable enough to ask about it. This habit has persisted for a considerable number of years, leading me to wonder how many bottles of wine they might have amassed in their garage. The thought of it is nearly astonishing.

The most clutter I have is my file storage on my computer and microSD when my hard drive can be a little on the fuller side. The biggest size thing I have is Da Vinci Resolve but I keep telling myself it's super useful for content creating.

My sister was one such. She has now migrated to the US and living with her daughter/son in turns Can imagine what is in store for her children when they have to clean her house (lol)
