In my country, recently we had a minister who issued an order stating that henceforth birth and death anniversaries of people of historical national importance shall not be celebrated as holiday but as a working day aimed at celebrating their lives.

This led to the cancellation of around 31 holidays and the academic calender lengthened by 31 days. What are your thoughts?

That minister is a disrespectful person. I hope all the staff at schools in your country get 31 days worth of extra pay on their yearly salary.
