How was the plot in the new Star Wars movie? My brother told me it was kind of like watching A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back put together, but with new characters. Would you say this is accurate at all?

I would say this is very accurate. The plot was very similar to A New Hope. I thought it added an authentic feel to the new trilogy beginning.
