How old were you when your parents started leaving you alone without a baby sitter?
If/When you are a parent, how old would your child have to be for you to feel safe leaving them home alone?

My parents never left me home until I was about thirteen years old.

I'll probably be one of those parents who won't let my kids stay alone until they're like twenty-five. 😛

Haha this^ but yeah it was about 12-13 years old before I was left on my own.

I started being home alone a lot at 10. It's actually kind of peaceful. 🙂
As a parent I would probably let my child stay home alone once he/she was 12. 😀

I believe it was around 13 and possibly early 14. I enjoy being alone in the house. I also enjoy a "Risky Business" moment. 😉

I remember being home alone at about 8. However I live in a very rural town where everyone knows you so help wasn't that far from me. If I had a kid, I wouldn't let them be alone until they were well into their teenage years but I am a bit over protective 🙂

I never had a babysitter, my older sister was supposed to keep an eye on me but since she is 7 years older, when she was 14, she was more concentrated at dating boyfriend but taking take of her brother, so basically 7.
