Should every county and/or town have one? Well, that's not the case in many places. In fact, there is nowhere to do, unless there is some campground, but they are rough in the winter and not every place has them. Of course, another form of shelter is sleeping in your car, but not everyone has one - and finding a legal place to park can be impossible

Shelters are not full proof. Many homeless people avoid them like the plague and refuse to be helped. You can lead someone to water, but you can't make them drink.

What ur link was saying was that "there wasn't enough to go around". That makes sense. Who can blame the homeless? Anyway, another reason is because of drugs and stuff as the link was saying.

Anyway, people don't really need shelters unless the temperature is below 50 F. Well, O.K., I will spill the beans. Not being melodramatic, but I am homeless now. I sleep in car most of the time and that's fine with warm blankets as long as the temperature isn't at or below freezing. In fact, people people with warm blankets/sleeping bags don't even need a car or tent - assuming the temperature isn't at or below freezing or near that.

Oh shit. How long have you been homeless?

Since September.

Sorry to hear that. That's horrible. I got kicked out a few times when I was a teenager (18 & 19) and slept on a few friend's couches and eventually moved in with my grandparents. But never what you're going through. To be honest, I am curious as to how you became homeless.

I am so sorry to hear about you being homeless Jason, have you managed to find somewhere since you posted this?

I believe more needs to be done for the homeless everywhere, it's awful seeing them out especially during the winter trying to stay warm and also safe. In most cases, even though homeless shelters are provided, there sometimes isn't even enough room for everyone leaving some of them without anywhere safe to go. You see so many buildings empty and left to rot and you know they could do something with those buildings to offer more shelter for the homeless but they never do.
