Homepage tweaks

A simplified version of the forum index was added to the homepage for logged in members, along with how many unread topics the member has in each forum, linked to show them.

I liked how it came out so much that I decided to use pretty much the same page for logged out users, completely replacing the splash page that pretty much was just a sign up form.

What do you think? I’m probably going to tweak it some more tomorrow.

It looks amazing! Are you using Laravel or some framework for it?

Codeigniter 3, actually. The framework is quite old but I don’t see a reason to rewrite everything on something newer for no benefit.

Oh … but I did have to manually update some core parts of the framework for PHP 8.
