Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?

In my opinion, people that are against homosexuality have no place in this world. It is also my opinion that these haters will never achieve anything truly meaningful or fulfilling.

People that aimlessly follow preachers that bash gays and lesbians should leave immediately. Any figure, group, or religion that bashes homosexuality should be disbanded and forgotten.

These are just my opinions. To me, it doesn't matter if you're the Jew's future messiah, the Pope, Allah, or a President. If you think homosexuals are less equal you don't deserve a place on Earth.

"It's just us two, pouring our hearts out. I mean, when you're tired of being sad after being dumped, tired of laying in bed just feeling like you're never going to be happy again. And then one day you wake up and it turns into anger instead and you feel a bit stronger again and you say. You know I'm better than this. And you say you know what. I dont care. I love it. And then it's also about sometimes people make love so complicated, I mean love is love. It doesn't matter where you are, who you are. You just know you are in love. "

I don't even understand why gay couples have less rights than heterosexual couples, its like introducing a law that places a curfew on blondes, its not like we choose our sexuality or our hair colour, its completely immature in my opinion.
It's because moral holy leaders like Newt Gingrich are fighting to protect the sanctity of marriage from those that want to make it less holy and possibly not as important.

Was that before or after he cheats on his wife? 😛
Oooooh she got ya there, bro...

The way i see it..you can't help who you fall in love with...

As for those who says its a choice...try to be a homosexual for one day...i bet you can't do it...as my cousin said(she came out about 15 years ago) why would she chooses to be hated...to be made fun of...to be critized by people....

As far as using the bible as reference....this is the same book that states a raped women should be stoned if no one hates her scream....

People who say homosexuality is a 'choice' are ignorant and obviously are living in a different dimension that is based on folly.

On a side note,
I'm going to a Pride Festival this weekend to support my friend and her girlfriend, and two of my gay friends.
I'm anxious as I don't know what to expect, but the happiness on their faces when I told them i'd go with them was cool. It's almost like they expect every straight dude to say 'hell no' to that type of invitation.

I live my life by a certain philosophy,

"Everyone is free to pursue their own happiness as long as it does not intentionally interfere with or deliberately attack another's happiness."

Just about every form of sexuality does not conflict with this philosophy, so I have absolutely no issues in that regard. Love and let love, yes?

This thread is just pretty entertaining lol. I am not gay myself but I have no problem with people being homosexual. I treat them as people. Although I'll keep being straight : )

We are all humans and have only limited time to do whatever we like in this life, so why not grant everyone the same possibilities and liberty? 🙂

I'd have to say it's morally wrong, but it's also none of my business what people do in their bedroom. Love who you want, smoke what you want, do what you want...until it effects me or someone else, it's nobody's business.
BUT do not throw it in my face either. Keep the gay pride parades out of my town.

Luckily you don't have a town, and I thank God everyday that you don't.

I don't have a town? Care to explain?

I love it when people say that the problem with gay people is that they're too "open" about their sexual orientation. I'm sure straight people all talk about their spouses all the time. Why shouldn't gay people be able to do the same?

If straight marriage were outlawed, you'd have parades to celebrate your sexual orientation too.

There is no valid reason to be against homosexuality. It's not morally wrong in any way, shape, or form unless you get your morals from books that were written centuries ago. My personal belief is that humans are intelligent enough to decide their morals for themselves without help from any "god" or whatever.

If two guys or two girls love each other and decide to enter a relationship, how does it do harm to anybody?

How is it "morally" wrong?

I'm not passing judgement. It's a matter of what you believe and how you were raised. It's a distinction of right and wrong behavior. I consider it to be immoral behavior. It's my personal belief. I wouldn't be the one to protest against gays. I don't care what people do in their own private lives. I'm all for individual rights and civil liberties. However, I don't want them to throw their homosexual lifestyle in my face anymore than I would throw my heterosexual lifestyle in theirs.

Devil's advocate 😛

@USA - so that means public affections with your female companion wouldn't happen?

Ohh gotcha! Well I do have a town. A town in which I pay taxes and vote. Therefore, I have a say. 😉

USAPoliticsForumCom,

Can you please respond to the statements we've made instead of skipping over them and replying solely to Nathan?
