Honour (sorry, I spell in Canadian) is a very personal thing in my opinion. Let me try and put it this way. What is a true act of charity? For example, if an elderly person dropped her wallet and you picked it up and just slipped it back in her purse and she never even know's that this kind act was done, no one know's that this was done but you. You know you did the honourable thing and your the only one who know's, but does it matter that no one else know's? This is probably a bad example but I hope it at least touches on the philosophy behind your question.
