I saw an article that Hooters is considering rebranding and one photo showed yoga pants as an option for the girls to wear instead of the skimpy shorts. Would that make people not want to go to Hooters? Especially all the guys who insist they're just going there for the wings?

I didn't think we had that chain in the UK but Google tells me there are a couple of branches. It also tells me they filed for bankruptcy earlier in the year.

Personally I wouldn't want to eat there because I think the concept is horribly outdated. Perhaps that's why the chain was force to file for bankruptcy in which case I doubt any kind of rebrand is likely to save them.

I've been to Hooters twice. I wasn't impressed and guys kept throwing their forks on the ground for the young waitresses to bend over and pick up. That type of vulgar behavior was not a place I'd ever want my daughter to work in!

I think hooters had its peak in the 90’s/00’s but society has moved on since then and now it just seems pervy and doesn’t sit well with a lot of people.

I agree with this! As a teenager I was very interested in the restaurant, I was a teen in the 00's. It would have been unheard of for Hooters to do what they're trying to do now 20 years ago. No one would be happy about it I think, except for the women who were probably offended by the restaurant. I'm sure there's still going to be people not happy with the change, but you can't please everyone!

Not just their re-branding. But they're now allowing any girl who wants to. Things have changed a lot.

hooters fat.webp

People should be free to do what they want within reasonable bounds, but as for my personal choice, I see a life consumed with lust to be very destructive.

It probably wouldn’t stop most people going.

The ones actually there for the food, drinks and sports won’t care, only the people going mainly for the outfits might lose interest a bit.

Who cares. If you don’t want to be seen in the way of a “Hooters waitress” - don’t work there. There are a million service jobs, most companies are pretty desperate to hire decent help. If you don’t like looking at girls - don’t go there. If your husband keeps going there and is lying to you - leave him.

Hooters sucks because for the past 10 years the food has sucked. In college - the food was great, the beer was cold, and the girls looked good. It was actually a cool spot. I mean that genuinely. If they can improve their food, they’ll rebound.

Food is pretty horrible in most places these days. For instance, you can get better chicken at some gas station in my county than one of the major restaurants.
