I can't stand horde or squirrelmail. Roundcube is the only web based one I use to check e-mail on cPanel.

I don't use any of those either and not really sure why anyone would.
I use gmail as my main email account, it's ran through outlook or thunderbird depending on what computer I'm using.

I would do the same with @mysite.com emails as well.

RoundCube is my favourite 🙂 as it seems with everyone else!

Yeah the other two have bad interfaces and looks Imo.

You guys do realize they aren't supposed to be pretty and eyecandy right?

They're supposed to be work-efficient. Read email, done.

If you've got access to any of those 3, then obviously you'll have your own email account on a personal domain.

Rather than use any of those web-based programs, I use Thunderbird (from Mozilla). Outlook works equally as well.

It's as easy as clicking the "configure email client" link in cPanel and pasting those details into Thunderbird. You then have the luxury of emails being stored on your computer, new emails being delivered instantly and it will run in the background without you having to check for new messages all the time.

Plus once you're logged into the email client you stay logged in. There's no need to keep entering the email address + password when you want to check your emails. Especially helpful when you have multiple emails.

True, but the interface isn't great. Efficiency and a good GUI are essential. This is what RoundCube has (although their last design was pretty ordinary) right now, but the other two are just hard to work with IMO.

I hardly use webmail, and I don't really have a preference on which client I use.

I suppose, but what I'm getting at is: These days it seems that the webmasters all want beautiful sexy eyecandy ajax jquery powered admin panels (I used all of those words for a reason, btw) just because they look good. But...oh well.

I actually enjoy SquirrelMail as it is fast and efficient for webmail purposes. I have, however, been using roundcube for my emails on my forum host and it has a better UI and overall work-ability then the other 2.

I like SquirrelMail and Roundcube, in that order. It doesn't matter what they look like, as long as I can get in there and do what I need to. I usually set up my email through Outlook anyway. 😛

A new mail has been added to one of my sites, I can't remember the name though. Has anyone else got it?
