Hi there all of you and welcome to Hortorian.com.

Hortorian is a young writers blog and forum, that myself and a large number of other people have been working on since last December. It's mission is to create a community where writers can help each other improve. This is not only for serious writers who are hell bent on getting published , but all you hobby writers out there.

Our mainpage has plenty of content articles which will provide you with lots of helpful advice on how to improve your craft. Due to our affilation with a book review website, ThirstForFiction.com, we will be also providing you with regular book reviews.

I got my own forum up for all of my writing pieces, i am definetly going to register on yours.
 
Nice stats there, without a doubt there must be a lot of old becreative members registering giving the board amazing stats for a new one 😀

Yep, we're trying to get as many of the members of the old forum back as possible, but due to a month of downtime, a lot have found other things to do on the 'net.

New article up on the blog. Also, we scrambled over the 2,000 post mark last night. 🙂 Clearly people like it.

I've commissioned a new skin off a paid MyBB designer due to the numerous complaints about the current one. Should be up in a few weeks time.
 
E-mail feed has been added to the blog. If you want to get e-mails ever time we post up new content, then subscribe to it. This works in tandem with our already existing RSS feed.
 
Since I last posted, we've upgraded to IPB! Also our activity is booming!

Summer has come and we have a good few things planned for Hortorian.com and Hortorian Forums. But first, let's see what we have accomplished so far:

On the mainsite, the blog staff have been working on a webnovel project. We'll be posting chapters on the blog with reasonable regularity, and after that we'll post the thorough critiquing and editing process to give the young writers on our website a chance to understand what all authors have to go through. The first chapter can be found here and the editing can be found here.

We've also done a questions and answers session with published horror author Dan Wells! This can be found here. Now you can learn from the professionals themselves!

As for the forum, the statistics speak for themselves. We've only been open since late February, but here we are already:
