Bump. I now have forums up at http://hortorian.com/forums.
The site looks clean and professional. Nice choice of skin, or creation. However, it doesn't balance up with the forum. The forum looks very default and a bit of customization is needed.
Site: 9/10 - great design, easy on the eyes, professional.
Forum: 3/10 - Poor skin choice, a little too many forums for a new forum.

I actually like the skin on the forum a lot... I had two designers look at it before and they said it was great. I suppose it's a matter of opinion.
Hmm, about the amount of forums... I know what you mean, but I was being badgered left right and centre to add more. The members want what's there.

I don't like the forum skin, and permissions are sort of messed up. I.E. I think you have the support forum on moderation queue.

I'll have a look into it for you. My tech staff are offline right now, so it might take a while, but we'll fix it.
As for the skin, a new one is being coded. I've had no other complaints so far about the one we have, but I'll try my best to find a better one.

I'd recommend that you enable friendly urls (aka hortorian.com/122/welcome instead of hortorian.com/?p=122). You can do this in the WP admin panel by going to Settings -> Permalinks. Choose 'Custom structure' and type "/%post_id%/%postname%/" (without the quotes of course) or you could choose another preset permalink structure.

The forums don't match the website at all. I suggest getting a similar theme to your website so members aren't confused. I also think that guests should be able to comment on the blogs, not everyone wants to register. Other than that, great site! :great:
