Host change?

Does anyone know how to transfer to another host? My current host is freeforums.org and I want to switch to mybb since it seems to have better features. I also would like to do this in the most non-costing possible.

You can't transfer a standard SET forum that is hosted with a forum provider to another host. Your best option is to get a host, then upload some type of forum software.

You can move from freeforums.org (we moved from freeforums.org many moons ago). You need to by a database backup from freeforums.org (cost about $30). Then upload the database to a webhost and then install mybb on that hosting account and then convert the phpBB database to MyBB.

That's quite the process. Would anyway be willing to walk me through this process or if I could trust you, do it for me? When I get the money.

It would cost $30 plus the cost of hosting and a domain (if you choose to buy one). It is not alot though if your forum is a decent size as over a short while you can start to get back some of the money through ads.

It is not exactly a hard process (if it all goes right) but it is quite a long process. I don't have no experience converting to MyBB and i don't have much knowledge of MyBB full stop.

I suggest starting on a fresh sheet by avoiding this process and getting a forum with no ads and having your own.
