Host Changed

Hello all,

We have now successfully changed hosts but unfortunately some posts has been lost so posts needs to be remade. This is the same for private messages. I am very sorry about this but now everything is solved. Please do contact me if you are facing any problems.

For future changes, it would be nice if you could give us some notice (even if just a few hours) before doing something that could potentially lose posts or PMs. I'm more concerned about PMs honestly. If we knew, we could avoid using the PM system (or posting long posts/topics) until the change is complete.

There was a notice yesterday but it seems that it has disappeared due to the move of the servers. We are sorry that you didn't read it but a notice was posted about the move of the site to another host.

I am sorry about that. I did post a notice yesterday but yes, it never got moved to the new host. The transfer took longer than I expected as FP has a large database. Again sorry about that. Everything should bet running smoothly from now on.

I actually just saw that topic, because apparently I reverted back to the pre-change board for a bit and now I'm back on post-change. Odd.

The issue is due to ISP cache issue. DNS propogation sometimes takes time so you see the old FP but should be back to normal shortly. If this occurs you may want to clear your cache and see if it helps.

I haven't really seen a difference at all, to me they're both just as fast. Then again, I don't care for speed. As long as I can get on the site in a reasonable amount of time, I'm happy.

We changed because MasterA transferred FP from the server Nerdie was using to his own.

my internet connection is fine Did not say it was slow per say, just slower then what it was before, and enough to be noticed.
