20 Posts we were going open tommorow (Sunday)
Lots Of Work Done
OnIt I dont whant to keep changing forums so what Do I do here?

^This. I had been on some free hosts previously. But i never had an issue of hosts closing down or suspending my account.
I don't know why, whenever you get a host, they either suspend you, or close their service.

Get a reliable paid host nest time.

I'd start looking for a better host if I were you. A lot of these free hosts never last. Of course, like everything else in life, there are exceptions. Lesson learned here is that you should try to find out as much information as possible. For example, you would want to go for a host that's been iaround for a while. Also, read up on reviews on the host in question as well. Are the majority of its clients giving out good reviews, high ratings, etc? Are they saying how good the support staff is, like if they're answering support questions in a timely and professional matter? If not, then it's probably not a good idea to go with them..

BTW, I wasn't asking what the hosts' reputation was like. These questions are just examples of things you should ask yourself when shopping around for a new host

Somehow I still don't believe you when you say that. You've let too many people down already, and it's going to take quite a while to start gaining people's trust again. As I have said in your other thread, I'll start believing you when I see it, and until that happens, I will not be joining anymore of your forums any time soon. My trust in your dedication is actually at a really low level. As for backups, 48 hours isn't going to cut it, mate. When Chatting Time was hacked last month, we were doing backups every 24 hours prior to being hacked, and then when we were actually hacked, we had a good handful of posts to make up as we lost quite a few posts. So I would say taking backups every 12 hours would actually go over better than every 48 hours. Because what if you got hacked or if something happened? If it happened at a time when your forum was (finally) getting somewhere, that would be 2 days worth of posts to make up.

Ok, its up to if you belive me or not bu I dont lie

And depending on how active the communnity going and the posts flow i can take backups more normally but I Will proceed them every 12 hours then
Just To Be Safe

I would personally take backups every twelve hours even on a brand new forum just starting out. You'd be amazed at how much work can actually be lost in such a short space of time. So really, I'd do twelve hour backups even for a new forum just starting out. It never hurts to plan ahead and take precautions seriously.

Ya I agree take backups lots durning the week no such thing as to much... If you start getting to many start deleting the old ones... To stop begin closed down just get a better one, I have a friend that does hosting, if you want me to contact him let me know and I will contact him for ya.

I know I have a deal that goes to my email every time a backup has been made, letting me know that it has been successfully completed. The emails get annoying, especially since these are automated backups, but at the same time they're helpful because I'm at least assured that they've been done in a successful manner.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to filter to those emails into a separate category in your email client?

If it were to be the only email I used for everything, then yeah it would be an idea to do filters and stuff. However, I do have more than one email address. One I use specifically for registering on forums, and I have a personal email for, well, personal stuff, I guess you could say. So yeah, if that were my only account, I'd agree, but I have two separate hotmail accounts, so that's why nothing's being filtered at this time.

Honestly, don't just go with a host that you see a great deal on. Do some research about the company, how long they've been open, feedback on the company, and all that stuff. The major hosts are usually a great option for all, hosts like Hawk Host (FP's using them) as well as Hostgator. They've been open for years and have a very good reputation on the web.

I have made a list of hosts Free and Paid, so if you need some suggestions to get you started check the list out. 🙂

Hawk Host is pretty good. Really nice loading speeds and everything. Plus they hardly have any downtime, and if they do, it seems to get resolved pretty quickly. I know there are times when I've come on to this forum, only to find the site down, but the problem usually seems to get resolved in half the time, which is awesome. My tech-admin says he'll back us financially 100% should something ever happens to his host and we get forced to move, and I'm actually keeping HH in the back of my mind. I know prophpBB offers premium hosting now as well, so that's another one I'm thinking of considering, because I've had awesome luck with their free plan when I was with them before. May I add that prophpBB has actually been around for quite a few years now (not sure how many exactly) but they do have a nice reputation, and are always willing and happy to help with any support questions you may have. However, I'd go with their premium hosting if I were you. You could do more on your own and how you want it done with this method. On the free plan, anything you suggest as far as mods and themes are concerned, they have to benefit all the sites that are hosted with them. Kind of a sucky rule but that's how they are. With the premium, it's much like other advanced hosting sites... you get to do things how YOU want them done, and you don't have to hear the refrain of, "while I think your suggestion is a good idea, we will not be implementing it because it will not benefit all genre's of forums on our servers". Trust me, I've heard the quoted line plenty of times before, and it gets rather annoying, so when I was with them, I stopped posting suggestions altogether as just about everything I've read that I even thought up along with other members did not fly over very well with the staff. Aside from that I had an awesome experience with them, and this is one free/premium host that I'll gladly recommend to anyone, whether you're new at forum owning or you've been doing it for a while.
