Hello All!

If you have spare cash lying around, i suggest buying hosting w/ domain from HostGator.com

They are fast and reliable. They offer some of the top hosting plans around. They are cheap also. The only thing extra you have to pay is for setup.

6.99 for 350 Gigs

Thats worth it!

I'm with blueHost and pay about £5 per month for pretty much unlimited everything ~neutral~ - Setup free.

My advice is this....

Work out what you need an find a host that offers just over more then what you need. This will be cheaper. Why pay $6.99 for 350gigs of space and 3500gb of bandwidth when you are only going to use 5000mb storage and 5gb bandwidth or something. You will be paying for alot of bandwidth and space you won't use. Other hosts offer less and are just as good but offer more reasonable amounts but are cheaper so why waste money on something you will never use as that is just like throwing money out of your window every month.

Thats my opinion on the matter anyway -🙂-

How much in USD is 5 euros?

Also Fowler, who do you purchase from?

€5 = $7.34

I think Fowler's referring to Citrex hosting. Personally i don't like them and have seen plenty of bad reviews about them - on the other hand i have seen lots of good reviews about them.

Personally i like to have the assurance of not running into any space limits, or bandwidth limits if i get DDoSed. I reckon it's worth it for the extra few pounds per month ~razz~

I wasn't referring to any host in particular as if you look around there are many hosts that offer reasonable amounts for less money -🙂-

Cirtex has been alright for here, there was lots of problems at the start but then Fowler got us moved onto another server and we have hardly had any problems.

I have just got a cirtex account, what server was you having problems with?

I see you have a cirtex account, as power-ads comes up with a cirtex screen

I think it was called Lucky -lol-
That was the one which had the hard drive failure but we then got moved to Fuzzy which was slow and down alot so i went and pinged all the servers and did some research on the support forum and found the one with least problems reported and the best results from the pings and asked to be moved to that server and they did move us to the one i chose -D-

I have used:

CirtexHosting
HostGator
Site5
HostMee

Out of those 4, HostGator has the best support and uptime for me. That is based on personal experience though. Very reliable host.

Yes, Hostgator are a good hosting company when it comes to support and uptime but they are massive oversellers. Does anybody really believe that a company can offer that much space and bandwidth for the small price, I dont think so. Most of the big companies do the same thing.

I use HawkHost now switched from HostGator and already see the difference 🙂

I use arvixe, aside form almost no support in USA they're pretty good.
