When you sign up for hosting, usually more forum hosts rather than web hosts, they include a forum on their site.

Do you ever use it? I don't. I use the hosting for the hosting, if I need support, I use their live chat.

If they do not have live chat, then yes the forum is nice. Live chat is a lot better although.

I use the forum on my webhost, but not really for support that much.

I use the support forums if I have a question regarding my site, say if there is something I don't understand about my ACP or how to do something in particular. Otherwise, as far as community involvement, not so much. I'll probably hang around and make a few posts, but otherwise, I don't spend too much time there.

The first forum I made was on MyFreeForum.

I only posted on their forum because it had an advert area

Good thing it did, I found FP and FA on A4F, which was being advertised on the support forum.

Yes, that's probably the only other thing I like about the support forum, is if they have an advertisement section. I know on ProPHPBB I've found a couple decent sites anyway. Maybe not the best but they were some nice looking ones. So yeah, that's the only other time I go on the support forum is to bump up my stats, and maybe to comment on other people's forums after I've taken a look around.

Live Chat. Helps gets your support questions answered faster plus they usually help you solve the problem step-by-step. 🙂 Which is good for people like me!
