My experiences with so called "free hosting", and "give a ways" was never good. Yes they are "genuine" ,
but a "genuine" wooden nickel is genuine as well.
The free hosting, and give away promotions are gimmicks to get you to try this or that hosting service, a good hosting
service does not need gimmicks.
Quite often the "free hosting" will seem very good, and one spends a fair amount of time setting up a website, perhaps a forum
or even several forums, etc. Once they have you "hooked", and nobody likes to loose all the time and work they spent on something, so then they tell you you need to start paying, for better service, all to often onec they have been paid, the service
goes down hill from there.
