Hosting Plans and Pricing

I am setting up a web hosting company and would like ideas on what kind of shared hosting plan's people would like and the price the would be willing to pay for such a plan. I have put what i have so far below.

Please reply with your thoughts and and ideas. Prices must be in GBP and i do not and will not offer unlimited as it does not really exist in web hosting.

• Basic Plan
• 250 MB Disk Space
• 15 GB Bandwidth
• 1 FTP Account
• 1 Email List
• 0 Mysql Databases
• 0 Sub, add-on or Parked Domains.
• Price £1.00 Per Month

• Personal Plan
• 10 GB Disk Space
• 300 GB Bandwidth
• 1 FTP Account
• 3 Email Addresses
• 1 Mysql Database
• 2 Sub Domains
• 1 Parked Domain
• 1 Add On Domain
• Price £4.50 a month

I would look around popular websites and average there prices and plans. When I owned a hosting company, I got popular when I came up with creative names for the packages not "Basic" etc.

I'm not sure if you'll get any sales or not with your Basic plan, as most people need a MySQL database. It could be possible, though. 😛

I'm actually working on a web hosting series, as I own a web hosting company myself, and I have learned a lot! I plan on having my first article of the series up soon! 😀

The basic plan seems quite expensive considering you only get 250MB of disk space and no mysql database. You may want to decide based on how much disk space and bandwidth your VPS/reseller has and how much you need to sell to make profit. This may give you a better idea of what to offer because if you offer too much disk space and you reach your limit before you make profit, then its not a very good sign.

2GB Disk Space
20 GB Bandwidth
5 FTP Account
5 Email List
5 Mysql Databases
5 Sub, add-on or Parked Domains.
Price £1.00 Per Month

Personal Plan:
15GB Disk Space
100GB Bandwidth
10 FTP Account
10 Email List
10 Mysql Databases
10 Sub, add-on or Parked Domains.
Price £3.00 Per Month
