I have a question.
If you convert your forum from phpbb2 to 3 do you have to start all over again?
Or do u keep your posts.
Like if i convert my domain to a phpbb3 host will it start all over?

If your host upgrades then if they do the upgrade right you shouldn't lose anything but if you mean changing hosts completely like from randomhost.com to randomhost2.com then you will unless your current host allows you to buy a backup of the forum and then your new host allows you to restore a backup.

Freeforums.org will eventually but it won't be for a while though.

Yeah, it depends on your host. Though, in my opinion I would just get a paid host and host your own forums and than see if Freeforums.org will give you a backup and restore your forums on your new host... that's my opinion =D
