So most of the USA is experiencing winter right now. Which means colder temperatures - perfect for hot drinks like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. But even these days - it's described differently based on the individual. Some people refer to it as hot chocolate like I do. But others call it hot cocoa. So is there a legit difference between the two? Or is this really just a 'depends on who you talk to' sort of thing?

This reminds me that we still have some cocoa tablets - it is called TABLEA here maybe because of the shape like a big coin. It is cooked by boiling in water until dissolved, mixed with sugar before turning off the stove and adding milk before serving. That's the hot cocoa here. I just don't know how the hot chocolate is prepared although they practically taste they same. By the way, we cook the cocoa tablets on occasions only particularly on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

I think the naming of it is a regional thing. Where I live, it is referred to by both names.

I've heard of TABLEA but never actually knew what it was. So basically - it's just hot chocolate/cocoa in tablet form as opposed to powder form? Interesting. 😀
