How are your forum smileys set up?

Do you go by text ( ex: sad = 🙁 ), commandish ( ex:

:sad:

= sad ) or expressional ( ex: 🙁 = 🙁 ). Which do you like better? Which is more professional?

I use colons with the words, otherwise smiley's will start popping up randomly in a paragraph. I also do it because some people like to use simple text smileys such as

:)

instead of a graphic.

I use the basic codes that everyone knows

 :) :( :P

I just stick with the basic msn type commands. Everyone knows them, and they work easy.

Same as the replies above, I'd leave them all as the default emotion codes used everywhere.

I think just the default ways that SMF has them setup.

I just have the default ones that come with XF. I don't have anything additional (yet).
