My sister is an author and I know my writing skills aren't on the same level as hers. It got me wondering how confident others are with their writing skills? If you could afford to pay people to write for your site, would you do it? Or maybe pay for editing to make your site more professional sounding?

I don't have the best writing skills in the world and that's why I use Grammarly, it's a chrome extension that helps with spelling and grammar. On the free option.

My writing is my own. I wouldn't feel confident someone would like the way I do it. I wouldn't pay people to write for my forum. If I was a business, maybe.

My writing skills aren't too bad if I actually take the time to proof-read, which I'm often way too lazy to do. I wouldn't offer any writing services myself for this reason. Paying someone to edit doesn't actually sound like a bad idea but at that point I'd rather just hire someone to write content instead (which I already do from time to time).

my writing skills in my mother language is excellent, rarely when I made mistakes however, in English isn't too good because my level is just intermediate and I am learning it day after day

My writing skills are okay I guess. My handwriting is legible from what I understand. But it's not super neat either.

I quite enjoy writing and have always written copy myself, though sometimes I have an Editor check it through just as a second pair of eyes often helps!

I think I'm pretty average and my spelling is good; I rarely have to look anything up. As I only ever do forum posting it doesn't have to be perfect. If I spot a typo that I didn't notice before I posted a comment I HAVE to edit it or it will drive me crazy!

Writing is not top notch but I’m defiantly improving. Has any person who speaks English as second language got any tips for learning? I’m self teaching

Probably the same tip I'd give anyone who wants to improve and that would be to read a lot of books in English. The more you see how things are worded, the punctuation and grammar, the more you'll retain that knowledge and begin to utilize it in your own writings.
