How can I get my website active?

My website has been up for around 5/6 months now and to be ohnest hasnt had alot of activity the last couple of months, I was just wondering how can I get it active again.

I would like some suggestions on how to drive moe traffic to it, what I should add on it, anything I should change on it, and whats good about it and what's not.

Also it would be great for new people to join, i'm also looking for new staff which I have a thread open here http://forumpromotion.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=32887 for anyone who would like to apply.

advertise to bring more members in. Offer some special perks for the fist few people to join your site. Maybe host a posting contest to get some members posting, of course you'll need to offer rewards to the winners. If you have a site currency you can use that.

Thanks for the tip, maybe I could install a currency system onto my Vbulletin or something like that.
