How can I improve the apperience of my blog?

I've installed a new theme on my blog that allowed me to make customizations to my liking. What I would like to know is what would you like to see customized in terms of appearance of the blog? I've got the basic layout down pretty good.

Thesis is a nice theme if you know how to make colors interact. I mean, spending $90 on the Thesis theme, you'd want to make that money back. I'd look at those Thesis blogs which DIY Themes has showcased and get a good idea on how you can make your site look better. I tend to like Matt Cutts' simplicity.
