Basically, how can the timing of the bumping of your advertisement thread affect the promoting of your site/forum/blog?

You'll want to bump during the most active hour(s) of the day.

For Example: If 3:00pm is the most active time, you'll want to bumb near that time so you appear in front of the wave of traffic. Bump too early, you'll get pushed down and out of site. Bump too late and you'll miss the wave of viewers.

Each forum has different times which they are most active. You'll want to find those times and use them to your advantage to get your ad in front of more eyes.

If you bump during active hours of the day, people will just bump after you so you just lose your topic again. Bump just before active hours, where you can get a decent 5-10 people seeing your link.

Bump at different times each day, so everyone can see your thread. One day bump it at a time the Americans can see it, one day bump it at a time the English can see it, and another day the Australians. 😉
