OK, don't start flaming me, but this is outright terrible. That should be completely banned, and the company should be prosecuted.
Given that, PETA isn't the best of organizations either. They called for Ben and Jerry's (best ice cream ever, I feel bad if you live in the UK and haven't had it) to use human milk in their ice cream.
Now there are 4 fluids that can transmit AIDS:
*Vaginal Fluids
*Semen
*Blood
*Breast Milk
We all know that there is a huge major AIDS outbreak throughout the world, and it is causing people to die because their immune system is shot (keep in mind that AIDS rarely kills somebody, it just weakens the immune system until something like a cold or the flu could kill you). Wouldn't using human milk cause an even worse outbreak?
PETA's "Got Beer" campaign. Fact is that milk is a great source of Calcium and some vitamins and minerals. It prevents osteoporosis, and is great for your body. PETA seems to think that because this stuff comes from a cow, that it is terrible, and that you shouldn't drink it. So they launched a "Got Beer" campaign. Even though MADD and SADD got after them to end the campaign (alcohol+car=not good) they refused to end it.
PETA's opinion on POM using animals to test on. Ok, I don't know the exact details on this, but PETA called POM to end testing on animals. POM manufactures pomegranate juice, which also has a ton of vitamins and minerals. It is also really yummy. If POM humanely tests the animals, and doesn't give them lethal doses of pomegranate juice (if it is possible to kill something with pomegranate juice), and they keep the animals in good health/care and release them, what is wrong with it? It saves money on the company, since you will probably need less juice to have an effect on a monkey or another mammal, and the animal gets a healthier body because of it (POM juice is healthy for your heart, apparently). If I am missing facts on this case, please enlighten me, but the way I have read it, no harm is coming to animals being tested by POM.
I don't support animals being tortured, but I am not a vegetarian. Nevertheless, I call for PWWANVWOABTUB*S*TTPIAR (People, Who Aren't Necessarily Vegetarians, Who Oppose Animals Being Treated Unethically, But *Sometimes* Think That PETA Is Acting Radically)
