When you create graphics for your site or someone else's, how concerned are you with copyrights of the images you choose to use?

It really depends. I know that my current forums website is based on Fortnite, there are a ton of Fortnite-related images used on my website for the layout and design itself. At first I was unsure of what to do, but I found that the Fortnite images I am currently using are under the CC BY 4.0 license and under ClipArt.info's licensing agreement I am allowed to use these images. So I'm not too worried about it. If I do happen to get struck down from Epic Games, which would be unlikely, then all I would have to do is remove it and use something else. It wouldn't be that difficult to fix. It's really difficult for big companies such as Fortnite to control where and how their content is being used because there are so many millions that copy and use their content on a day to day basis.

most images on my end are gameplay that people take while gaming then upload 🙂 Members ow the images but really my site takes the full copyright. even that they can upload to any websites they want.

I’d like to avoid any copyright-related problems, so I create all my graphics from scratch. That includes any illustrations or icons.

I know some crafters who have been hit by Disney for creating crafts to sell at craft shows that have Disney characters on them. You wouldn't think the big companies would come after you...until they do.

They're really cracking down on people pretty hard.

Especially on YouTube, a woman was singing a popular song and YouTube took down her video and she was given a cease and desist warning.

I guess the message is to do your own thing and come up with your own ideas or forever hold your peace. It's not worth getting sued over.
