I was laid off three years ago and needed to find a new gig. I was applying and interviewing all over the place. I probably did an interview 2-3 times a week somewhere for the couple months I was collecting bereavement.
I am currently unemployed and have applied to various jobs and had 6 interviews after I quit my previous job. So, I'm still on the search for a new job.
I am currently self-employed at the moment doing freelancing and also video game content creation and streaming when I am able to. My freelancing is the one I do more of at the moment as it's the one that is doing better in terms of earning a living at the moment being self-employed.
I wouldn't say I found my current job but I had been doing this from 2012 - 2017 until I took a break from burnout and started my content creation. I decided to come back to freelancing in October 2022 as a way to earn an income and still be able to work even with the health issues I have.
I'm currently self-employed as a professional loser. It wasn't an easy road to get here. First, you have to be born as a child that society considers "intelligent." Then, you have to go through your entire childhood with adults around you constantly telling you that you are smart and that you can do better than you are now. Then, you have to develop a deep-seated fear of trying new things for fear that you will fail at them. Then, you have to develop a laundry list of mental health issues and a stabbing inferiority complex. At that point, you can be an accomplished failure like I am right now.
I also do life coaching on the side, so feel free to PM me for a free consultation.
No one is a loser, got have to think positively and move away from the bad into the good. More on with the best and enjoy what you have and give the best for your future kids and give them that you may not have so that they can live a happy life with a good family member.
My current job started over fifty years ago when I started playing around with a truly horrible 1930's guitar we had lying around the house as an ornament. Once I worked out it played better with strings attached I never considered doing anything else with my life.
Through a buddy of mine. He was looking for people to work with him on his business and ended up contacting me about it. We have been in business together for nearly two+ years or maybe more. It has been awhile. On top of that, I do many other things to keep myself busy and occupied.
Going on the website and applying. Suffice it to say, I was shocked when I got a call for an interview because I felt like I was overqualified for retail work lol (fresh out of university with zero retail experience).
