Tell us how you got your forum name, where did it come from?

MadDogz And Englishmen - Originated from my 5 year old grandson, I asked him to think of a name and he said Mad Dog. I then remembered "Only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" a song by Noel Coward. The meaning of the phrase is that only those two are crazy enough to go out in the full sunshine. My forum is for people who are ever so slightly insane, who see the funny side to any situation and can twist a sad story into a perverted one. The name was very appropriate. :great:

I am blunt and like my forum to get great SEO.

I named mine Forum Advertising.

I have already got 2 good people who found it off google, not an advertising site. If you search key promotion terms FA comes up fast 😀

Yeah, good choice. Its on the second page on forum advertising, which is quite a medium-large key term.

My forum's name is Endless Fight. And I got it by first thinking of quotes from one of my favourite game series (Megaman X.) which led me to the idea of calling it Everlasting Peace. (Because I thought there was a line from the series along the lines of: "Fighting for everlasting peace.") But when I couldn't recall exactly where it was in the series I decided to name it something else. And as I was sitting there thinking, I then remembered another line from the Zero series... A name of one of the songs: "For Endless Fight". (Which I think is a rather cool song. You can listen to it here.)

Of course since the site was going to be based around roleplaying, which are often about conflicts, the name Endless fight felt quite suitable so I registered it. (Everlasting Peace, I think, would have felt a bit misleading.)

Quite a interesting question.

I got mine when I was making my forum. I was at the PC looking away from the screen taking to my dad about a name.

It took me about 10 min. to find Community Forums

Its from communities that have there own forum on ours.

Aldo the name already exists a plenty I find it orginal for CF.

I named mine Spill it Out because I am going for no-holds-barred discussion. It also lends itself very nicely to the slogan "Just Spill it Out!"

Well I love Comics. And when I met Jay Katz at the Wizard message board sometime before it shut down. And learned he ran a website called InvestComics. Myself and one other talked to him about making a forum for the website. And he agreed. And that's how it got to happenin'.

I usually get the name of my forum through a long process of brainstorming names.

Our forum was just a no nonsense name for what it is. Funny thing is that it wasn't even originally intended to be geared for SEO but it turns out to be the very best name for that, based off our 3 main keywords. Type "warrior cats rpg" and there we are!
