So for those who build your own computers. Where and how did you learn to build your computer?

I just looked at a pre-built computer and figured I could do it, so I bought the parts and winged it. It didn't end horribly. =]

I've since built dozens of computers and have gotten myself "A+ Certified" in computer repair.

I was pretty much self taught just by watching how others did it and them allowing me to do it as well as showing me, took some time and a few mistakes but I got there in the end.

I bought one of those bundle kits off of Mwave, and also had a little help from my Dad putting it together. 🙂 Interesting stuff!

taking them apart and figuring out they went back together. made it easier when I decided to pull the trigger and build my own

I took a hands-on computer class in high school, but I knew a little bit before that. Once you've taken it apart, you really don't have any choice but to put it back together correctly, hahaha. 😛

I had a friend help me build mine. He actually sort of built 75% of it while I got him some food and drinks. I wasn't expecting him to be so quick, lol.

After seeing my friend help me with my first built 2 years ago. My new one was my first build. It was not to difficult at all once I gave it a shot. 😛

My brother build a destop for me by some old items be bought by his salary ! Love him, but when I move to study in university he bought for me a Mac 🙂

I looked at some books and watched a lot of YouTube videos. I think that was the best way to go about learning how to build my own computer.

I learnt when I was involved in electronic engineering in commercial radio broadcasting, from the old days when DOS was virtually the main operating system up until now.
