How did you pick up development, and what were the methods you used? Did something specific spark an interest?

I started with JAVA mainly because it's was easy at first. From there, I picked up PHP randomly (don't really remember). Since PHP is not taught in school, I used W3Schools, Code Academy, and devshed forums to help me learn. W3 did a great job with basic learning while devshed did a better job with modern practices (like using secure id's, password hashing, and so on)

I started with HTML and CSS, then worked my way up. Typically, I used W3Schools, Code Academy and then recently I found Treehouse which is a great resource if you can afford a monthly subscription fee. I started with ProBoards forum development and then moved on to bigger and better things.

I used Code Academy & I am currently taking a class for it.

If CSS counts, I learned it on the go while styling themes.

I'm more a tweaker like most people. I take the default style and build it into something I like.
