How dip I install a mybb plugin

How dip I install a mybb plugin? I'm looking to install newpoints on my forum but I don't know how.

first of all for safety take backup!

Ok next on your downloaded new points plugin there are few folders, look for the one that says upload and all you do is copy and paste the following from that folder..

Admin
images
inc
newpoints
to your mybb directory...

Upload all the files to your file directory.

Basically in the plugin you downloaded you should see some folders like

Inc
Plugins
Newpoints

Find the folders in your file directory and upload the files inside to your directory. You will need to upload the whole new point folder into cPanel because there should be no new point folder inside.

After all files has been uploaded, activate your plugin in admin ACP. It should appear. I can't remember if there were anymore instruction since I haven't used mybb in while but that should be it.

Note: backup your files first for security.

Everything mastera mentioned is correct apart from cpanel bit, just upload everything from upload folder and even if there.are no existing folders it will create itself. Easiest option is to use ftp for uploads.

Upload the contents of the "Upload" folder to the root of your MyBB forum, and then enable it in the MyBB Admin Panel.
