How do I promote through Twitter?

I have never gotten into Twitter, but I heard that Twitter is one of the best social networks to promote your website. So how do I do this? I've been feeding the forum posts onto my Twitter, that's about it.

You need to research the hashtags that go along with your forum niche, after that just post related things with links to your forum also a lot of them without your forum link 😀
Basically be active on it, rtweet, favorite and follow people ;D

Shaole has it spot on. I started by getting followers. I have over 500 and have lost a few because I have not been super active but I got them by just following people randomly that were suggested and people just follow back. That puts you on their news feed and you are able to reach them if you post content worth their time. People love retweets also so retweet things they post and you will see more people notice you back.

I have not found a quick fix for getting more traffic to my site but I keep at it and have hope 🙂
