How do I sticky and announcement posts?

As an admin, how do I make certain posts/threads, sticky or announcements? I haven't been able to figure out how to do it? Do I need a mod? I'm using the latest phpbb3.

I had the same problem little time ago! 😀

It's so simple that you will be surprised!

Just create a topic, anywhere, and you can see some options down there, like: *Sticky *Announcement *Global.

You need to log in with admin 🙂

I don't see the options, plus what do I do with already created topics?

Use EDIT (full edit, not quick-edit).
Make sure you have premissions to make new sticky/global threads (ACP->Permissions).

It's still not showing up. Even in the full edit. I don't get the radio options. I'm the only admin on the board so I know I'm attempting this as an admin user.

ACP ---> Users and groups ---> Groups forum permissions ---> Admins ---> Tick the all forums box ---> click advanced permissions for each forum and ensure that "Can post stickies" and "Can post announcements" are both set to yes for each forum ---> Submit and then you are done.
