Some people love stirring up trouble on forums; trolling members and just being mean. How do you discourage cyber bullying on your forum? This might be an important thing to consider, since cyber bullying is considered a crime in some places and a forum owner who tolerates abuse or harassment of forum members might end up civilly liable.

I bust them out in public, usually.
The only way to beat a bully is for people to publically object to their bullying in front of others.
If I see a bully on my forum, I will bust them out on it, on the forum, embarass them and they usually don't return after that. It also seems to make people feel good when you stand up for them in the public.
That is what I did when I witnessed it during my school days as well!

To me, "cyberbullying" is stupid. Just ignore them... geez. Let them waste their time harassing you on a freaking website lol.
Sadly that is a reality...
A kid just recently shot himself to death near my area, few miles away due to bullying in school and probably online.

This kind of thinking is what causes suicide, my friend. Maybe if people took bullying more seriously, people experiencing bullying wouldn't be forced over the edge.
