How would you like to have a 4 day work week where you work four 10 hour shifts versus five 8 hour shifts?

Love it. Combine that and all year round school and you’d see happier teachers.

I am okay with 5 day work week and 8 or 9 hours with every Saturday, Sunday holiday. I work alternative Saturdays 🙁

A 4-day work week would be great if the pay was enough to actually afford the modern cost of living. I think the world would be a much happier place if we had more time to enjoy ourselves with our friends and family, or simply relaxing. We give too much of our lives to pay the bills, only to retire usually at an age too old to do much of anything with what's left. It's shameful really, and I hope things change in the near future.

I think this would be alright, so long as I could choose to do some of my workday from home. Not crazy about being away from the family for 10 hours.

I'd say it would make me lazy. I can't imagine working less and being happy. You have to stress yourself a little for happiness.

I honestly rather have the five days. I've worked 9 hour shifts, and they're rough. So much rather have 8.

I'm used to working 12 hour shifts, so the 4 10s sound great. Friday, Saturday, Sunday off work each week? I'll take it. 😛

i wish i had this opportunity... i am working 6 days a weeek... just SUNDAY off.. its so depressing... i wish i could also work just 4 days a week...! 🙁

It's almost a part-time job. If you have a good amount of earnings coming in then it's worth it, depends on the job. LOve to able to go to work for part-time then home to stream gaming content or do more fun stuff with your life. But MOney is important also.

People hate work cause it could be taking away time from what they really want to do - and also cause it's boring (Well, there are strategies to cure that while dish-washing or something.)

Anyway, a job that someone really likes to do or is high pay and un-enjoyable (boredom can be compensated with mental strategies) - is often worth way more than even a 40 hour work-week.

I loooooooooooooovee it. I currently work 4 days a week and 10 hour days! Gives me the time to relax and actually do something.

My job has actually been experimenting with a four day work week in some regions. I would love it, but I know I’m stuck with a five day work week. The remodels near me that had a four day work week have not finished on time yet. Needless to say, I don’t think the experiment has gone well.

I would love this. I would gladly give up my 8 hours shifts to work 10 hours a day if it'll give me an extra day off each week. I'd be so much happier. But I doubt my work would ever switch to that.
