To add to @Empire's post, another thing to donate is tampons / pads because they're important hygiene items that period-having homeless people don't always get access to.

I'm sure some conservatives would think homeless guys use tampons! 😀

No, really the homeless are mentally ill, not lazy or limp-wristed. Note, when they started eliminating care for the mentally ill, the homeless rate went up. So how can right-wingers explain this?

OK, here was a cheap shot using this stuff. However, though, I realize so much of it is wrong. For instance, why should we associate hard work with being male, using cheap shot words to diss weak males - using female words. Is it funny?

Eh, I treat people who gender shame as I do with people who are racist or simply bias toward one beliefs, indifference, or at least I try. Sometimes your pride gets in the way of this sort of stuff and it can trigger you.

It depends on the crowd. I mean, who was gender shaming hair bands or Led Zeppelin? Well, I'm sure some old fogies were! Anyway, now-a-days that look is out so males are more likely to diss it.
