Adsense is a good start, but i would also suggest in trying looking into CPA and Affiliate networks, which could also help boost revenue, from other ads based platforms and choosing advertisements within your targeted niche.

I have never come across publicityclerk, are they really good in terms of click through rates etc?, I know adsense can be very minimal to start with until a website has some great traffic and regular visitors which then in return boosts revenue from adsense, but that's good going to make over $50.
