How does Forumotion do it?

Hey guys, I was thinking today and then an odd question hit me:

How do forum providers like Forumotion and Zetaboards do it? I'm actually interested in doing something similar to that myself, so how do they do that?

How do they have instant activation with the forums, how do they allow people set up their own subdomain instantly, etc etc

Hmm, always though about it myself. You should ask Spork at IcyBoards, he has the same thing running, but he's still small scale so much more approachable.

There is hosting scripts out there that let you become a forum host.

There is no option on FP, this is a forum. Not a forum host.
