I am asking this question because I am from the olden world. The resume that I know is still the standard during my time with the basic information such as name and addres, date of birth, gender, and other pertinent details of your person that would include height and weight. The next section is for the education attainment which specifies the full records of your education. Third section is the work experience. Fourth section is the “others” where you can put in your awards, achievements and other learnings like short courses, seminars, workshops.

With the modern resume, there is the photo, not just a photo but colored photo, of the person. At the bottom lies the references that are usually past bosses. What other salient details are contained in the modern resume as against the olden style of resume?

i am not going to show it for obvious reasons but i designed mine in photoshop and recently i gotten big compliments on it, which was nice 🙂 so it is nothing like a plain word doc, which i used to have but yeah, at least now people can directly tell i am the creative type i guess

Mine is also simple, with information on it. Nothing too fancy, I don't want to go over the top with it.

To be really honest here, I have two resumes. One is a detailed fancy one and the other is a short simple one. I submit it (if at all I ever require) based on what am applying for and who will be scrutinizing my application.

Hey, so mine is a little different to the norm. It is simple but it also holds a lot of information. I am a designer so I have 2 versions one for employers and the other for freelance work. I always create a PDF in InDesign as that is used the most in print. (You Can Also Save as PDF of different types. Example with links which is a nice touch if your submitting digitally)

I have a cover letter with the name of the company I am applying to, CV (Resume I am British so bite me) and a portfolio of 12 pieces of work. and links to social media like Dribbble and places like that.
