How hard did you try to get your post count? I put a lot of effort to get almost 700 posts, I had 80 last month, believe it or not. I sometimes had to post more than 100 times just to get up one page on the members list organized by posts, or even 20-30 times to advance up one slot in the members tab organized by post count.

...People actually care about that?
Meh, I figure the best thing to do is not pay any attention to it and just post when you feel like it. Back when I was younger, I used to watch it like a Hawk, aiming to have the highest on any forum I enjoy...But it just causes unecessary focus.

Yeah, I didn't pay too much attention to it, especially since I was on vacation for a month, so that was time when I didn't post. In a few months I'll be a member on FP for a year, so I probably could have put some more effort into a higher post count 😛

I'm at 850 and haven't really ben trying, just posting when I feel like it. 😛

Umm, I posted all kinds of spam and one word posts to get mine.

In reality, I just posted when I felt like it and didn't even worry about post count. If I cared, I'd have kept a detailed log of how many posts I made in the staff rooms.

I'm not even sure what my post count is here. I don't really care.

I don't pay attention to my post count. I just worked hard to try and keeping building up my FP Cash.

Being new I did nudge myself at the start so I could get some cash. I have now morphed into posting because i like the place and want to stay around. This is the only forum I post in regularly.

I haven't payed much attention to my post count, but whenever I needed a quick boost in FP, I would post more.

I only post when I have something to say or add to a topic otherwise I don't post. There is no award or group of people who will care about your post count at least no one that doesn't come off as having way too much free time. Besides, you will be remembered for what you had to say and how it made people feel and not how many times you typed something into a reply box and hit submit.

This. I don't like to post on a topic just for the sake of the +1 post count. I try to find a topic I can relate to and contribute to the discussion. Obviously being new to this forum, I haven't had any time to form much of a post count, but I wouldn't change my approach to posting just to try and get some.

I only ever really post when it's necessary or worthwhile, regardless of how many posts I have. Likewise for this topic, I find it worthwhile, contributing to the discussion 🙂

Well until reading this topic I did not know my post count as it means nothing to me, I am only here to promote my site and most of my posts are to do with that, it always makes me laugh that certain people are obsessed with having a large post count when it means nothing.

Well, it just seems so fine to me now that it doesn't usually take me more than a few days to get 100 posts.

There is a saying where I live, quality over quantity, the same applies to posts. A person could make a 100 posts and not one could add anything of real quality to a forum, while another person could make 10 posts and each one could bring quality to a forum.
