I experienced a lot of hassles with wired mouse. It usually lasts for roughly 3 months only. The wire easily breaks. I buy a mouse four times a year so I decided to use a wireless mouse. How did it save me $63? The price is in pesos so I'll just convert it into US dollars.

Wireless mouse costs $13 while wired mouse costs $4. My wireless mouse has been with me for five years now and it's still working. If I keep on buying wired mouse every three months for five years, it will already cost $80. That's really a big difference. Wireless mouse is really worth the money. I still use mine until now while I enjoy the benefit of saving more money.

Did you invest on wireless mouse too? Is it also a good experience for you?

If you are spending $4 on a wired mouse, that is probably your problem, you do get what you pay for and $4 is a low amount. I had a mouse that cost £30, wired, lasted me 5 years, I only bought a new mouse because I wanted RGB (£60 for that one), the other mouse remains in use with someone else. Higher the cost, the better the materials.

As for a wireless mouse, in order for one that would suit my needs, gaming, a wireless mouse would be close to the £100 range, with the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum, arguably the best wireless gaming mouse.

There are problems with latency for wireless mice, which is noticeable in gaming. Here is a link to the mouse similar to what I currently use: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/~/media/229803F603F84F1AB37B936F15C89AEF.ashx

As you can see from the cable, it is braided, making it stronger, noticeable so. My last mouse had a similar cable, the cable did wear with rubbing, but it was only part of the fabric that showed damage, none of the actual cable, so no performance drop and since it was over the side, no one was going to see it anyway.

Additionally, a wireless mouse has other costs attached, batteries or power costs to charge them, you would need to fact that it.

I use the touchpad built into my system but glad to see you were able to save money 🙂
