How long and what can you do once you've gone too long without sleep? Myself, I can drive somewhat - but working out isn't so enjoyable. Anyway, driving on low sleep is dangerous - but I bet many truck drivers do it.

I lasted two and A half days without sleeping 😵 That's since I was travelling to and from Australia to UK. But four times over my years of living. It's an very long 23 if not more hours flying time and depends on the times zones to what and when you takeoff and land. One time I wake up at 9am and my first flight was 5pm to get to Sydney for an 10pm night flight that will get there like 6am in the morning in another country, then 9am flight to UK and it be like 1pm, then did not sleep till 11pm at night.

Yeah, I can't sleep on planes either. My trips to Northeast Asia from the Eastern US literally had no sleep.

Currently I am taking 3 to 4 hours of sleep. Extremely burned out. And affecting my digestion, depression and also focus on things.

If I don't get a solid 7 hours, I get super grumpy. 8 - 9 hours is ideal.

As a teen, I did pull a few all-nighters completing homework at the last minute, so the longest I ever went without was probably 30 - 40 hours. I once drove 10 hours straight, over 700 miles, and by the end of that, I felt like I hadn't slept in days.

It's not good to miss out on sleep.

I've worked in the oil and gas industry for most of my life, sleep was almost unheard of. Working 16+ hours daily and trying to eat, shower, relax, and sleep with what I had left was always a challenge. I consider myself highly functional without sleep if I want to be, although, sleep is life, I love it being well rested.

I've been trying to stick with a schedule as best I can by going to bed and waking up roughly the same time each day. I enjoy being up early in the morning, it makes my days feel much longer.
