How many years have you had a laptop battery last?

I recently replaced mine and I think my laptop is 5 years old. The old battery was swelling and causing my touchpad to pop up out of the keyboard.

depends on a few factors. I really hate today's laptops where the battery is internal and sometimes even soldered to the motherboard, terrible and really dumb design choices when manufacturers do that.

If you keep it plugged in even after full charge, there is a chance that it will die soon.

If you leave your laptop plugged in and don't have a chance of nudging it/the plug being pulled from the power, then you can even keep the battery out when it's plugged in during use, this swould prolong the life of the battery, but this only applies for laptops that have swappable batteries.

1 hour might get out od mind. But I just have it plugged all the time anyway

My uncle had a laptop that lasted for five years before changing the battery.

They can last 5 to 7 years before needing to be replaced. But it's also always good to buy a new laptop in 4 years anyway. After 4 years, the hardware in them is obsolete.

Well, comes down to if you can afford to buy one each 4 or so years hahahaha

My laptop is already 7 years old. I haven't changed battery but it's draining fast that. i just keep it plugged while am working

I have been using this laptop for five years now and the battery is becoming weaker everyday. My laptop can't last up to 1 hour again, I will replace it soon.

It depends on the brand and model of each notebook. Some batteries last even 6 to 8 hours, while the weakest last one to 2 hours. If you meant the lifespan of batteries, it also depends on the brand and model of each notebook. My VAIOs' batteries still last, after respectively 5 and 4 years of use.

Based on the laptops I've loaned for my college studies (which were two Dynabook Satellite Pros), and a Lenovo IdeaPad bestowed from my brother last month, I would say about five hours, but of course the figure would be over if one's browser isn't Edge... (as other browsers such as Firefox somehow drain the battery more, which to me isn't fair).

My laptop need to be changed. The battery is no longer good. I plug it like PC to use it.

When I bought my acer laptop newly, it used to last me for six hours before the battery went off. After two years, it dropped to like 4 hours before the battery drained after full charge. It is eight years old now and the battery only lasts for three hours after full charge before it goes off.

Can your battery be replaced? I did that a couple times for my old laptop.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's dumb design per se. They don't want the average person to be able to service laptops. Right to repair legislation is needed.

I replaced the battery on an old MacBook years ago after it was like 6 years old and wouldn’t work unless it was plugged up.

after six years oi need a new pc lol
