How long do you give for your project?

When you start up a project. What do you do when it doesn't take off right away? Do you only give it a month or two or do you go into it for a long haul? By long haul I mean like 1-3 years and even then it may not be exactly where you want it.

How long do you give our project before you terminate it?

I try to find out quicker ways to get to revenue. Once the revenue is fixed you can move ahead in project. Without it can be hard though.
