How long have you been programming?

I've been at it for about 4 years which is way less of the time I've been designing.

Probably 8 years at this point? I'm still a teenager, but I did start fiddling around with web pages / programming when I was very young at the computer, haha. I believe I actually started with FoxPro (obsolete now). Now I know quite a few languages, and am majoring in CS!

I remember my first programming in Basic language way back in the 1990s. Running commands like addition, subtraction, multiply and divide. The hardcore coding started just a few years back when I started developing my websites.

about an year and still not an smart guy at it. IT"S HARD.

Me, I've only been doing it for a few months. I tried to do a little bit of Python during the summer, then stopped. I started on C++ a few months ago because I remember reading somewhere most games are in C++ or something of that sort. How long have you been programming and how experienced do you feel with the language as far as understanding and using it? Have you created anything? I'm interested in hearing others' experiences!

I guess my question would be... how is this measured? Do you mean from when one first started dabbling/copying and pasting html codes? ...or is it measured from when one's first project was officially started? lol this is actually not a strong point for me, I never did get into programming myself but I first started dabbling into html codes and such 16 years ago...wow that sounds like such a long time ago. lol

I would say it starts when you learn proper coding that is used on real projects.
