Not long, less than 2 months. I had to go with shared hosting, since I can't afford a 10/mo VPS at the moment. If Mesozoic Haven had a couple subs, I could probably afford one.

I pay over $10 a month for my shared hosting plan. Its about $13 a month for me.

Before choosing a web host check if they offer flexibility of upgrading to a higher hosting package, just in case you run out of the allocated resources.
Try and check their response time, also if they have a live chat service then get things cleared with them.

I've been with Ionos for two years now. I haven't had any issues with them, though I do wish you could use the SSL certificates from other places but they only allow you to purchase and use their certificates. I also use Hostinger for sites that have adult themed topics. (Ionos doesn't seem to allow that so that's why I went with them for these websites.)

HawkHost has been pretty fantastic for me. I also caught them when they were offering a 50% recurring discount on Shared Hosting 3 years ago. Price aside I haven't had any real issues with them.
